So I was in the emergency room for a couple days. Woooo. But now, what's important. How many of you have heard of Jango.com? Jango is an online radio that plays what you want, when you want it. It's really cool, and you should all go and sign up for it. But anyways, AV-Net & Jango are teaming up to enhance your Atreyu experience! So, be sure to head over and check it out! I Went to RTOC in Duluth, Georgia.

In other news, I’m basically positive I broke a rib and messed up my neck really bad in the moshpit in Georgia. I win!
Taste of Chaos.
March 21, 2008
Wow, I've been really busy lately. I've been to see Taste of Chaos three times, and all three time, Atreyu kicked ass. I went on Thursday, March 13 in Norfolk. Before the show, I saw Alex walking around. I told him who I was and that I ran AVF on MySpace and did AlexVarkatzas.Net and he was really sweet. He shook my hand and gave me hugs and we took pictures and stuff. [FYI, Alex smells AWESOME.] And I took a picture of Alex with my AVF/AV-NET sign! Click here to see it. It was exciting. We told him that we were going to a lot of shows and he thought that was pretty awesome. I also got some pretty good videos that you can see here. We went again on Saturday, March 15 in Asbury Park and Monday, March 17 in Fairfax. I may have some videos up later from that show. Atreyu was amazing live. So amazing that I'm going to see Taste of Chaos again on Monday, March 24 in Georgia. Hahahaha.
Also, I will have new pictures up in the gallery, soon. Charli has sent me a boatload that I haven't had time to upload yet [I'm quite grounded].
So I hope to have those up soon, and maybe some other cool stuff. I don't know. I'll suprise you. :D
New Media.

New Layout & A-Team Priveleges.
February 17, 2008
In case you missed it, there's a new layout up on AV-NET. I was sick of the old one that had been up for so long, so I've spent all day on this new one. I hope you like it.
Attention A-Team Members: There is a contest being held on the A-Team website for front-of-the-line passes to meet Atreyu. They will be signing at the Alternative Press booth on the Taste of Chaos tour, and 20 lucky A-Team members will receive passes to go to the front of that line at every show!
Now that everything in my life is almost completely back to normal, I've been able to clear out my inbox and can now receive e-mails again. So, if you have any questions or suggestions, new pictures for the website, interesting information, etc., feel free to hit me up on varkatzass@gmail.com. I'm sorry if I missed your e-mails previously. My inbox was clogged with spam, and I was unable to get to everything. =[
New Year, New Site.
January 3, 2008
It's now 2008. Hip Hip Hooray. I feel I have finally gotten a grip on life and gotten my feet back on the ground. So that means I get to work on the site a lot, and much more than I have been. YAY! As I'm sure all of you know, Atreyu & Avenged Sevenfold are co-headlining the Taste of Chaos Tour this year. Expect to see some changes with AVF & Av-Net soon.
An Unexpected Hiatus....
November 23, 2007
I would like to appologize to everyone. I haven't been able to update the site or even log in to our MySpace recently at all. I have been in the hospital for a while recently, and thus could not get on. Things are starting to get a little better now, and I hope to be working on the site with full force again soon. Again, I'm sorry, everyone. This was very unexpected for me, and I'm sorry it affected you guys.
The True Story of a Greek God
September 22, 2007
So Lead Sails Paper Anchor is out! WHO LOVES IT?! I do....
Now.....Story time!
Last night, after six long years of waiting, I got to see Atreyu for the first time. It was a beautiful experience. I saw them at the Canal Club in Richmond, Virginia. Which is like where I live. Hahahaha.
Anyways, they were playing with So They Say, It Dies Today, and Haste the Day. So They Say was pretty much crap. It Dies Today was okay, except I thought the whole "wall of death" thing was pretty strange. Haste the Day was really pretty good. But none of that is the point, so I'm not entirely sure why I typed it all out.
Haste the Day had just played, and my mom called me from outside like "Guess who I just saw?" and I was like "Uhhh who?" and she was like "Alex!" So I kinda sat there. And I was like "Alex who?" and she was like "YOUR LITTLE GREEK BOY." [she doesn't much fancy Alex of Atreyu, but that's not the point]. Thus, I dropped my phone. And I was like "WHERE." And she was like "Well he just closed the curtain on the bus because he is changing. Apparently the dressing rooms at the Canal Club are crap, so he is changing on the bus, blah blah blah blah blah." So I was all "Holy shit."
Then I went up the the very front, on like the side of the stage, right there next to Travis' side. They came on playing "Bleeding Mascara," which was incredible. I took lots of pictures of Travis, Marc, and Dan. I couldn't get as many of Alex because he was moving around so much, and doing this little washing machine-type dance move. Hahaha. But I got a few pretty good ones. And I didn't get any of Brandon, because from where I was standing, I could only see the front of his middle bass drum. They played several old songs and several songs off of Lead Sails, Paper Anchor. It was really good. Even my mother, who pretty much hates Atreyu had to admit that they were really really good live. And, I got Travis' guitar pick, which he strategically sliced up with a knife [or other sharp object] for better grip. So that was really cool.
As soon as Alex said that they were playing their last song, I literally sprinted out to the door of the tour bus, where I waited anxiously for him to come out. I missed their last song and their two encore songs, but who cares? I was there waiting when the concert ended and he ran out to the tour bus. He was all sweaty and still wasn't wearing his shirt. I was the only one standing there, and I was all like "ALEX!" and he was like "Hey." I was like "Are you coming back out?" and he said that he wasn't, so we would have to take the picture quickly, and that I was going to be the only one to meet him and get a picture and stuff. So it was exciting. I took the picture as quickly as my trembling hands would allow. He got sweat on my Lead Sails Paper Anchor tour shirt, so I can never wear it again, hahahaha. A couple of other people shook came over and shook his hand real quick, and he climbed aboard the bus. Oh my gosh, he was so sweet.
He emerged a second later and ran back inside, but only for a minute. He came back out and jumped on the bus again, because UFC was on and he had to watch it. His girlfriend, Hollie, was still hanging out outside talking to everyone who had showed up once the show let out. One girl asked her to take the set list in and have Alex sign it and so she did. And mom and I were all like "Whoa, that's a good idea." So we asked her to take my ticket in and tell him that I am the girl he took a picture with earlier, and I run Alex Varkatzas Fans on MySpace and AlexVarkatzas.Net and things of that nature. She asked my name and we said it was Lindsay. So she took it in and he signed it "To: Lindsay ♥ Alex V." She also said that he is very appreciative of the site, thanks for the support, etc. I was very very excited by this. Then she told everyone she couldn't get anything else signed because she was getting in trouble, hahaha.
At this point, both my mom and I were very tired. As much as I wanted to meet the other guys, I couldn't stay up any later [because I have had a very long week and not slept like....at all], so we left happy that I got to meet Alex and get his autograph and everything. He was so nice. My life is now complete. I can die happy. =]]]]]]
If you wish to see my pictures from the show, you can visit our Gallery on the Website and see them.
So that is the story of one of the best nights of my life. Thanks for reading.
Have a nice day. =]
One Hell of a summer....
August 7, 2007
Wow, I haven't updated in a while. I have had a hell of a summer. It's been awful. BUT YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT! As I'm sure you all know, Atreyu's new album, Lead Sails, Paper Anchor, comes out August 28. Who's excited?! I know, I am. I was sent an interview in Kerrang Magazine a couple of weeks ago and never had a chance to post it. Here it is. We also have new pictures up in the gallery, and hopefully new videos on the YouTube soon! PEACE.
BECOMING THE BULL!
June 7, 2007
WHO'S READY FOR NEW ATREYU MUSIC?! If you are, you're in luck. Head over to atreyurock.com to play a game to listen to the new song. Once you complete the game, you hear it. And there are MAJOR PRIZES for people with the fastest scores! Like autographed guitars, phone calls from the band, getting the CD early, etc. It's way worth it. So go now and try your hand at the game!
Gallery's Back Up
May 29, 2007
It's not quite the same gallery, but it's new, much more organized, and I think, easier to deal with. Check it out at gallery.alexvarkatzas.net. Let me know what you think.
Gallery's Coming Down
May 24, 2007
I regret to inform you, the gallery will be coming down for a couple of days. I'm reorganizing it. There will be sub-galleries for Live Photos, Candid Photos, and Photoshoots. I have realized that opening all of the pictures at once on one page slows down my internet drastically, and I have gotten similar complaints from other users. So I'm going to make more organized galleries, that I hope will be up this weekend or sometime shortly their after. Sorry for the inconvenience....
Screen Caps!
May 22, 2007
We have loads of new screen caps! A very generous source was kind enough to donate 200+ high resolution, amazing screen caps to us! They can be seen in our Media section, under Screen Caps. She gave us new caps for all of the videos, plus videos I hadn't capped yet, and caps from the DEATHGRIP ON YESTERDAY DVD! Check them outtt!
As a request from our wonderful donator, if you have a GREATESTJOURNAL.COM account, please join her Alex Varkatzas group. http://alexv-fans.greatestjournal.com/ It's sweet, so you should all join it.
No other updates at this time :]

BRIEF UPDATE: Atreyu has released a brand new music video thingie for "Untitled Finale!" It's wicked. CLICK HERE to watch it on our YouTube <3
Not Much New
May 14, 2007
Not much new going on with the site recently. I'm thinking about making a new layout? And I'm also working on a couple of other new things for you. So I'll keep you posted with all updates. And if / when any news on Alex & Atreyu comes out, it'll all be right here!
I don't have school tomorrow because we're in the middle of SOL testing. I go to two high schools every day for half of the day, so my testing schedule is weird. But hopefully tomorrow I'll have time to work on new stuff for the site :]
Random
May 7, 2007
Couple new fan-submitted photos. Screen Caps from 2 more videos. 'Bout it. Many of you have asked about Atreyu's tour dates and if they're going to tour other than Family Values. If you want to know about their tour dates, you can click here. I don't know if they're going to tour other than Family Values or what other shows they may play. All I know of is what I've gotten from the A-Team. If I find out anything else, I will be sure to let you know.
Another announcement that everyone needs to read. Hotlinking. Hotlinking is when you use someone's photos on their surver. AKA you right click, go to Properties [or Copy Image Location if you use FireFox] and copy the URL, or open the image in a new window and copy the URL from the browser. I strongly discourage hotlinking. I've worked very hard to bring you all the Alex photos, icons, screen caps, etc. I can. I hosted it all in a PhotoBucket account. It took several several countless hours to upload the almost 700 photos I have in the PhotoBucket account. If you hotlink these photos, my bandwidth will be exceeded. This means the photos will no longer be viewable. If this happens, I am taking them down permanently. I'm not going to spend more time uploading these photos if you guys can't respect this simple request. Think about it.
That is all for now.
Icons of all Sorts
May 6, 2007
HEY. 5 new Alex icons up, 4 BRAND NEW ALEX VARKATZAS BUDDY ICONS FOR YOUR PLEASURE. Check it out. All in MEDIA.
Screen Caps
May 5, 2007
Good evening, everyone. Happy Cinco De Mayo, if you're in to Espagnol / Espanol / Spanish XD. ANYWAYS. We have some screen caps up now. They're in the MEDIA section. I don't have screen caps up for everything, however, because I do lead a very busy life. While most of it is devoted to AVF and this site, I do have to do several art projects that I cannot afford to fail. So check out our screen caps. I'm working on the rest of the screen caps, and some new icons as well. :]
PS you can check out all of Atreyu's tour dates here and see when the Family Values Tour will be coming to a city near you!

Atreyu's New CD, Etc.
May 1, 2007
A couple of updates.
Atreyu's new album is going to own life. These are quotes from Alex's blog on the A-Team site.
"so the record is gonna be jamming. we are about halfway thru and its really gonna be a diverse album. From metal to slowed down acoustic rock. There wil be something for everyone. We are really excitied and hope you are too.If your thinking about geting the same old thing we have stepped it up again. This record is huge. Not to say, that what makes us, us will be gone. Just imagine it hyped up on rock and roll steriods. More melody, more metal, more emotion, more radeness."
"today im going to record two more songs for the new record. i have laid down vocals for maybe 6 songs so far.I am really happy with how things are coming. i have been working really hard and practicing not sounding shitty when i sing (not scream), and jon (our producer) has done a rad job at getting me to sing and scream on the record and still feel really comfortable. So we will see what tonight will bring.
one thing about this record is all training (mt/bjj) and working out has totally taken a back seat to i can focus on the record. Its hard, but i know i need to focus and do my best on this record. The results speak for themselves. But it will be nice, when this record wraps, to get back to it.werd."
It's going to be sweet.
I'm adding over 100 new photos to the Alex Gallery tonight, so keep checking back for those. They will be up sometime before HOUSE comes on at 9:00 PM EST. XD
Alsooo here's an idea for a new "trend." I want to see how many people actually do it.
Do you have a MySpace?
Do you support Atreyu?
Do you support Alex Varkatzas?
Do you support Alex Varkatzas Fans?
If you answered yes to one or more of those questions, you should add "[AVF]" to the end of your MySpace display name to show your support!
ex. the Cheshire Cat [AVF] or INSERTDISPLAYNAMEHERE [AVF] or our display name, Alex Varkatzas Fans [AVF].
If you do it, please leave a comment on our MySpace page letting us know. <3
AlexVarkatzas.net MEGA UPDATE!
April 30, 2007
ALEXVARKATZAS.NET MEGA UPDATE!!! I have just finished uploading 400 pictures of our one and only, Mr. Alex Varkatzas. I have many many many more, but these are all for now. You can go check them out in our new Alex Varkatzas Gallery in the Photos section. ENJOY!
PS For all FireFox users, sit tight for a couple more days. I'm working on recoding it so it works for all of our users. I hope to have it up within the next few days. Until then, sit tight with the HTML-less version. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience :[
Up & Running.
April 25, 2007
Hello, hello, hello. I'm very happy that the entire site is now up and running! We're working on more for the "Media" and "Photos" sections, however. I'm pleased with the way the site is coming out.
Couple of announcements.....
On Friday, April 27, members of the Atreyu A-Team will receive an email with a password to log in to the exclusive presail for the Family Values Tour. Presail begins at 10 AM local time on Saturday, April 28. A-Teamers, GET READY!
Secondly, here's a mission!.... AVF has our own YouTube featuring all of Atreyu's music videos, plus interviews, etc. As some of you may know, YouTube has a list of "Most Subscribed on YouTube." This mission may be a little out of the question, but IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING, eh? I think it would be unhumanly awesome to get AVF on the "Most Subscribed on YouTube" list. Do you know how many people get on YouTube? [Neither do I....] It would do wonders for supporting Atreyu and it would get their name out there to all the suckers that have been missing out for all of these years.
So the objective is as follows:
If you have a YouTube, please subscribe to us. If you don't have a YouTube, please make one and subscribe to us. XD After you've done that, I made a button set to promote our YouTube. On half takes you to the YouTube, the other half is a direct link to subscribe. It looks like this:
Post it in bulletins, on people's pages, on your profile, in forums, wherever you can think of! Help spread the word about our YouTube and the promotion of Atreyu through it. Here's the code:
Thanks! That's all for tonight. Thank you for coming. Good night, everyone. Your host for the evening.... Lindsay :]
AlexVarkatzas.Net Opens!
April 24, 2007
Good evening! I'm very pleased to announce the opening of the Alex Varkatzas Fans [AVF] official website, ALEXVARKATZAS.NET!
The site is on it's way to being up and running; I'm currently transferring all of the information and goodies from our MySpace site to here. So sit tight for a bit whilst I get everything straight, eh?
Please Note: Just because our website is now being opened DOES NOT mean that AVF is closing on MySpace. It will remain open [all content will be on this site, however]. But, our MySpace friends still get access to our AVF Group, exclusive AV.NET content, and early access. Ohhh, the advantages of having a MySpace.....
