| On October 9, 2006, something amazing was started. Something now known as ALEX VARKATZAS FANS [AVF]. I was sitting there, on my old, no longer in use fansite, Avenged Sevenfold Owns, reading the promotion bulletins everyone posts. Bulletins were being posted for My Chemical Romance fansites, other Avenged Sevenfold fansites, Escape the Fate, Kill Hannah, Taking Back Sunday, and Eighteen Visions, etc. fansites. I realized there was never anything for the brilliant band that I love so much, Atreyu. So I searched for Atreyu fansites and realized there were only maybe two to begin with. With this news, I started a fansite for the lead vocalist of Atreyu, the lovely Alex Varkatzas. The idea quickly became popular, and fansites were opened for the rest of the members as well. Soon, we hit 100 members. I was very pleased. Then, something unexpected happened. THAT GUY, on the Atreyu MySpace sent out a bulletin with AVF'S banner. We got thousands of adds. WOW. With all of these people now on our friends list, we held some contests, and I began to make icons and other Alex goodies for people to use. Eventually, I realized that MySpace sucks. Thus, AlexVarkatzas.net was born! We can now take the fansite off of MySpace, and reach all of the fans that don't have MySpaces.
